We are Mars

Mars was founded in 1911 when Frank C. Mars started selling home-made candy in Tacoma, Washington, USA. Our family-owned business moved to the UK and in 1962 Forrest Mars Jr. built the biggest chocolate bar factory in the world in Veghel, the Netherlands. Today we are one of the largest privately owned businesses in the world with net sales of over $33 billion! We operate in 74 countries with more than 346 locations and own many household name brands. The biggest brands internationally are PEDIGREE®, ROYAL CANIN®, M&M’s®, SNICKERS® and DOVE®.

Mars, Incorporated is one of the world’s leading branded manufactures. All the choices we make are guided by our Five Principles: Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency and Freedom. We refer to our people as Associates instead of employees, because we ask people to govern the business as if it is their own, to make quality decisions, to be accountable for upholding our values and high standards and to treat others appropriately. Our goal is to create growth we are proud of by being the most mutual company in the world.

In Veghel, we have the biggest chocolate bar factory in the world. More than 1200 associates work every day to produce and deliver our products to the rest of the world. Also based in Veghel, is the headquarters of the Dutch Market and International Travel and Retail. Veghel is the chocolate hub for the Netherlands and the European mainland. And that’s quite an interesting environment to build on your professional and personal development.

 Join our supply chain team!

A company like Mars requires a supply chain organization on champion’s league level. And we are looking for new talent to join our teams.

As a Supply Chain Associate at Mars there is a world of possibilities to explore. Mars in the Netherlands offers pretty much every function you can imagine in a FMCG company. We take care of the biggest chocolate factory in the world and our regional Supply Chain teams are based in The Netherlands as well, just like the two market units at our site.

We need the best-in-class talent to overcome our challenges on a daily basis. Can we support this new campaign? Can we supply our products to a new customer in Asia? Production capacity is limited, how do we divide the available product? We need you and your brains to figure this out. We offer the opportunity to develop yourself continuously, either in management traineeships or as a supply chain professional.

Feeling up for a challenge? We are happy to tell you more on the 31th of October during the Supply Chain days
